Richard started his first full time business at the age of 22 and has always maintained at least one business as an owner ever since. He has founded, mentored, managed and sold businesses through the years. He started his business brokerage career in 2012 working for two of the largest business brokers in NWA. He founded AEGIS Business Brokers, LLC in January of 2014. Richard has been an avid volunteer serving as an SBA/SCORE Certified Mentor for 10 years, Co-Mentor for special cases for the Arkansas Small Business Technology Development Center (SBTDC) and volunteer mentor for many small business owners. He has also served on Northwest Arkansas Chambers of Commerce on various committees and was trained and served as a volunteer court ordered mediator for small claims court specializing in small business disputes. This training & experience has saved more than one deal. He has successfully completed every course available from the IBBA International Business Brokers Association including; Analyzing & Recasting Financial Statements, Pricing Businesses to Sell, Tax Returns, Leases & Landlords, Due Diligence, Managing Closings & Ownership Turnovers. He has also received additional training and certifications from the ABBA American Business Brokers Association as an ABI Accredited Business Intermediary and SVA Senior Valuation Analyst. As a member of M&A Source he has access to a wealth of resources for the Mergers and Acquisition segment of the market. Richard has been awarded the top ranking from the IBBA, CBI Certified Business Intermediary. The Arkansas Real Estate Commission has issued a license to Richard so he can assist business owners with the sale, purchase and leasing of commercial real estate.
